What kind of horse float do you offer?

We offer Ifor Williams HB511 horse floats, known for their durability, safety, and comfort. They’re ideal for transporting two large horses (up to 17.2hh) and feature front unload ramps, non-slip floors, and smooth towing performance

How much does it cost to hire a float?

Weekend Half Day (AM/PM): $140
Full Weekend (Saturday & Sunday): $280

How much does it cost to lease a float long-term?

Question 5

Is there a bond required?

Accepted Answer

Yes. We require a $200 bond for all hires and a $500 bond for all leases. This is fully refundable provided the float is returned clean, undamaged, and on time

Question 6

Do I need a special licence or vehicle to tow the float?

Accepted Answer

No special licence is required, but your vehicle must have the appropriate braked tow rating and a standard 50mm tow ball. Our floats are easy to tow, even with many mid-sized SUVs

Question 7

Is there a minimum age to hire or lease?

Accepted Answer

Yes. You must be at least 25 years old and hold a full NZ driver’s licence to hire or lease a float from us

Question 8

Do you allow travel outside Auckland?

Accepted Answer

Absolutely! As long as the float is returned to Riverhead, you're welcome to use it for shows, treks, or trips across the country

Question 9

What if the float gets damaged or something goes wrong?

Accepted Answer

All floats are commercially insured! If something happens, let us know straight away. Minor wear is expected, but damage due to misuse or neglect may be deducted from the bond. We provide full terms and conditions upon booking
